Saturday September 12, 2009 was our 5th annual poker run. Last year we raised thousands of dollars to help for the care and adoption of our local animals with Another Chance Animal Welfare League. Another Chance has a vision to build a no kill animal sanctuary where no healthy, adoptable animal will ever be euthanized. They are funded through adoption fees, private donations, fundraisers and organizations like ours.
Lakeshore Inn & RV was our venue again this year. We had live music both nights, Friday - Magic Bus and Saturday - Loose Arrow.
Poker Run Register this year included:Breakfast provided by Win-River Casino, chili and cornbread from Dry Creek, hamburgers from Johnny's Cathouse, game prizes and power drinks from Coca-Cola, and dinner at Lakeshore RV also a raffle ticket for prizes, Joker Draw prize at each stop, Ride pin, T-shirt , Tri-Tip or Chicken Dinner, Live Music and Dancing, Bike Games. We had huge success this year offering our first VIP special.

4th Annual DogPound Poker Run 2008 This year the DogPound has decided to help out Another Chance Animal Welfare League (ACAWL). This is a charitable event. All proceeds from the Poker Run will go to Another Chance Animal Welfare League to help pay for the care of the animals in their care. The mission of ACAWL is to promote the welfare of the animals through leadership, education, adoption and rescue. Their vision is to build a no kill animal sanctuary where no healthy, adopt able animal will ever be euthanized. We hope that everyone enjoys themselves.

3rd Annual DogPound Poker Run 2007
The Dogs hosted our 3rd annual poker run September 29th 2007. The run started at Haven Humane Society and ended at Lakeshore Inn & RV Resort at Lake Shasta. The campsites were full for 2 days, so you can imagine the fun. It was another huge success! Over 400 participants this year, we even added a few vendors. HPCC & Win-River Casino were our biggest sponsors this year donating over $16,000 worth of cash and stuff. The bike games were hilarious, and yes... Mike Thon won the slow ride again! The Pound raised over $14,000 for charity. Anyway, check out the pics below and have a few laughs...
